Korean Cultural Centre India successfully brought the heart of Seoul to New Delhi in the recently concluded 4th edition of Rang De Korea, the biggest Korean culture festival in India.

The event was organised at Nexus Select CITYWALK Plaza in New Delhi on October 11th,and several thousands of Hallyu fans rushed in as soon as the venue was opened.

The showpiece event has become a symbol of Korean culture in Delhi, offering a platform to enjoy and experience it.Launched in 2022,the event has firmly established itself in a short span of time.

The event was inaugurated by H.E.Lee Seong-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India.Following the inauguration, power-packed performances by groups from Korea, such as Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team;S-Flava,a fusion group combining Korean traditional music and b-boying; a Korean traditional dance performance team, enthralled the Indian audiences.

However, the showstopper event for the day was the electric performance by the eight-member K-pop boyband ‘Younite’.

Delhiites went into a frenzy as soon as ‘Younite’ took to the stage to perform to their hit title tracks such as Bomba and Rock Steady.

The K-pop group performed to several other songs such as One+Won, Poco Loco,Pump Your Sneakers,Geekin and Taste, and their India fans were overjoyed.Earlier in the day,Younite also interacted with their Indian fans in the form of a ‘Fan Meeting’.

Another central highlight of the event were the five ‘Seoul Street’ zones that were thronged by visitors who came in early to experience a slice of Seoul in their own city.

Seoul, often described as a city where centuries-old traditions meet cutting-edge modernity, has long been the heartbeat of Korean dramas and K-pop culture.

For millions of global fans, the city is more than just a capital, it is the living stage of their favorite shows, songs, and stories, and the Indian Hallyu fans got an opportunity to witness this in New Delhi.

The youngsters walked in the bustling Myeong-dong shopping streets, an area with vibrant neon signs and numerous global beauty brand stores and then had some Korean street-side snacks at the Jongno Food Alley space at the venue.

Hwang Il Yong, Director of Korean Cultural Centre India said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Delhiites, who enjoy and support Korean culture.

Korean culture has now become mainstream cultural phenomenon among India’s young generation, and the market for Korean products such as K-beauty and K-food are growing rapidly.

Through this festival we hope to further expand Korea-India cultural exchange and also deepen mutual understanding and friendship between our two countries.”
