No power on earth can stop from giving drinking water to people, declared Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating a convention of beneficiaries of the state and union governments and launching various development schemes in Ron on Monday,he said the fluoride-free water has been provided to important towns like Ron,Gajendraghad, and Naregal in Ron taluk.

The drinking water scheme for Ron town is estimated at Rs.46 crore.Drinking water to Gajendragad town has been provided for Rs.69 crore.

It is happy to inaugurate the supply of processed water to these three towns. At the same time,it was a matter of concern that though the scheme was started in 2009 it did not proceed further.

The supply of filtered water from the Malaprabha River has started today.

The commitment of the double-engine government

The CM said Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to supply piped water to every house in the country three years ago and since then, water has been supplied to 12 crore houses.

In India,in the last 72 years, seven crore houses had drinking water connections, but in the last three years, 12 crore houses had been given water connections.

In the state, only 25 lakh houses had been provided piped water in the last seven decades, but 40 lakh new connections in the last three years. This is the commitment of the double-engine government.

The electorate voted for the BJP to provide basic facilities and no power on the earth could prevent from giving water to people.

No strength can stand before people’s power. Development is a continuous process and both time and development must go hand in hand. All work must be completed on time.

Ministers,B.A.Basavaraj,C.C.Patil,MLC S.V.Sankanur, KSSIDC Chairman Kalakappa Bandi, and others were present.
