The Kumbalagodu police have arrested a 25-year-old private firm employee under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in his apartment premises .
According to the police,the incident occurred on last Wednesday and came to light later when the girl informed her mother about the harassment,alleging the uncle in the neighbourhood touched her in bad manner.
After the parents checked the apartment’s CCTV footage, which reportedly confirmed the accused’s actions,based on which the parents filed a complaint with the police.
The police registered an FIR based on the footage and Aryan Kumar was arrested on the same evening when the complaint was given and was produced to court and currently in judicial custody.
