Area domination operation conducted all over city by BCP 250 vehicles seized,11 stolen vehicles detected,16 narcotics cases booked ;Seemanth Kumar Singh

The police during the special drive on area domination carried at the strategic locations across the city seized as many as 250 vehicles which are plying without number plate,masking number plate and tampering number plates and for not having proper documents and detected 11 stolen vehicles on Friday night .

Senior officer told reporters,as many as 1000 police personnel across city were deployed across Bengaluru city for area domination operations and naka checkpoint duties.

During this operation,the officers and staff inspected more than 5000 vehicles,out of which 250 vehicles were seized for violations of rules and lack of proper documents and without number plates,some autos two wheeler seized for tampering number plates and hiding the number plates to hoodwink cops and avoid fines or to involve in anti social activities.

In one case acting on credible information from the reliable input the magadi road crime staff as Praveen and Nagaraj rushed to spot near 6th block Rajajinagar and found Autorickshaw was parked near colors mobiles with blackening the two last digits of his rear side number plate as in the front it was KA03 AB 0766 and in rear side it was KA03 AB 0700 immediately the Magadi Road crime staff came to spot in minutes and seized the auto and took the driver along with them for further investigation.

The Magadi Road Police have registered an FIR against a Autorickshaw driver and seized his autorickshaw for tampering and blackened the two last digit of his auto rickshaw to either hoodwink cops and avoid fines from the enforcement cameras installed in 50 junctions or to avoid getting auto seized by finance company.

In this operation,a total of 11 stolen vehicles were traced and recovered.In addition,16 narcotics-related cases were registered.

Cases were also registered against individuals driving under the influence of alcohol as well as against those who violated traffic rules.
