Kannada filmmaker Rajendra Singh Babu duped of Rs.4.2L

Kannada Director Rajendra Singh Babu has filed a complaint with the Yeshwanthpur police that conman posing as businessman offering Rs.1.4 crore for dubbing and Telugu rights deal for his movie “Rakta Kashmir”and made away with Rs.4.2 lakh.

Based on the complaint,the police have registered a case of cheating and impersonation for further investigation.

According to Mr.Babu,the conman identified himself as Naveen Kumar,gained his trust by promising money once the rights were finalized.

Then on the pretext of processing the deal,the accused accessed sensitive documents–Aadhaar card,PAN card & bank account details of Mr.Babu to transferred the money.

While Mr.Babu was waiting for the promised money,the accused misusing the details,accessed his bank account and siphoned off Rs.4.25 lakh .

The fraud came to light when Mr.Babu received the transaction details on his phone and verified the account to find that he had been cheated .

The police are now tracking down the accused through money trail and suspected that the bank account where the money was landed was also been created using forged documents .

It may be recalled that cyber frauds hacked film star Upendra and his wife Priyanka Upendra’s phones and made away with Rs.1.65 lakh from their account.

The Sadashivanagar police are investigating the case.

MP K.Sudhakar’s wife a doctor by profession has been threatened on the pretext of booking a case against her and made away with Rs.14 lakh.But as the case was reported in golden hour her amount was safe and returned back after obtaining the court order .
