The Jnanabharathi police have registered an FIR against a dowry harassment case has been registered against renowned Kannada director S.Narayan,his wife Bhagyalakshmi,and their son Pavan charging them under dowry harassment and cruelty by husband and relatives .
Pavithra,wife of Pavan in her complaint said that she married Pavan in 2021,Since he was unemployed,she was the used to take care of the household expenses and even supported her husband by getting him gifts and car,who is unemployed.
Pavan later sought funds to start a film institute,Kala Samrat Team Academy.Pavitra’s mother reportedly financed the venture,which later shut down due to losses.
At the time of marriage,her family gave a ring worth Rs.1 lakh and bore the wedding expenses.She even borrowed loan and paid them money worth Rs.10 lakh to support Pavan and his family for a business .
Despite this,she alleged that Narayan’s family demanded money money,harassed forcing her out of the house with her minor son.
She stayed with her mother and tried to get back to their house many times,but in vain.
Unable to bear this she approached the police and filed a complaint on Last Monday accusing them of harassment and torture .
She claimed the harassment has caused severe distress to her and her child,and holding them responsible for any eventuality happened to her.
