Three months after Dr.MA Saleem to hold concurrent charge as state police head, the state government on Saturday formalised his appointment as the Director General and Inspector General of Police and the Head of Police Force (HoPF).
According to the order,M A Saleem,a 1993-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, was Director General of DGP of the CID, Special Units,and Economic Offences.
Appointed as Director General and Inspector General of Police (Head of the Police Force), Karnataka,Bengaluru (carrying the Apex Scale, Level-17 i.e.Rs.2,25,000/-(fixed) in the pay matrix of IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016 )with immediate effect and until further orders in the existing vacancу said.
Saleem,in May this year, was placed under concurrent charge as the DG&IGP,after Alok Mohan superannuated on May 21 this year. Even though he has nine months of service,the government might consider him to complete two years tenure.
