The Ramanagara rural police arrested a staff of Shilhaandra Resort for peeping into women’s washroom when one of the guest was using it on Wednesday.
Based on complaint filed by a 27-year-old private employee,the police charged the accused identified as Sandeep under section 77 (voyeurism) of the BNS for further investigation.
The victim along with her 20 friends had gone to the resort for a day trip.She went to the washroom and found that there was no tissue.
She asked the staff later identified as Sandeep and went to the loo.Few seconds later she realised some one was peeping into the washroom she was using from the adjacent loo and raised alarm.
Her friends rushed to her rescue and caught him while he was trying to escape.The accused refused to admit and argued with them.
Soon the other staff joined to support him and roughed up the group and even closed the resort gate to prevent them from taking him to the police station they are not ready to show the CCTV cameras installed in the resort to prove Sandeep’s presence .
The victim alerted the police who arrested and taken the accused into custody for further investigation.
