A 16-year-old high school student committed suicide by hanging herself at her home in Madanayakanahalli on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Kusuma,pursuing 10th at a private school in Makali and the daughter of Ramu and Shobha.
Family alleged that kusuma has taken leave from the school to complete the homework and alleged that extreme pressure pushing the students to study and complete home work and pushing the students to study lead to her extreme step.
However,the headmaster of the school clarified that the suicide is not due to pressure from the school.
The school is taking extra classes to 10th students and asking them to complete one page home work and two page reading this is the pattern being followed to motivate them to study hard.
However there is no force or harassment from the teachers.
Terming the suicide as unfortunate,Mr.Ashok,head master of the school said that death is not solution for any problem.
If the students have any problem or issue they should discuss with parents,teachers or counselors to resolve their problem and not take harsh decision.
Kusuma was good student and used to complete tasks , home works and good in a academics.The teachers have no problem with her and the incident shocked them all,the head master,said.
We will conduct awareness campaign on this to tell students about the ill effect.
