Bengaluru:Special Commissioner (FECCM),Preeti Gehlot emphasized that for students to meaningfully contribute to climate action, it is crucial they understand its importance and the challenges posed by climate change.
While addressing a Recognition Drive organized by the BBMP’s Climate Action Cell at the BBMP Head Office campus, inside the Naukarara Bhavan, she stressed that small, consistent changes in daily life—such as limited water use, minimizing the use of air conditioning, and reducing plastic consumption—can lead to significant long-term impacts on climate change.
She also urged the use of eco-friendly alternatives over environmentally harmful materials and encouraged everyone to promote such sustainable choices.
