*Congress MLA’s Name Not Mentioned in FIR.
*BJP Leaders Being Targeted: Chalavadi Narayanaswamy.
The government is using the police to harass opposition leaders.In the case of driver Babu’s suicide,despite no involvement of Chikkaballapur MP Dr.K.Sudhakar, an FIR has been filed against him,alleged Opposition Leader R. Ashok,expressing his outrage.
Speaking at a press conference,he said that an FIR has been filed against MP Dr.K.Sudhakar,naming him as the primary accused (A1).
An FIR of this nature can only be filed if the individual exerted complete pressure leading to the suicide.
However,Sudhakar had no close relationship with driver Babu.Moreover,there is no basis for allegations of caste-based abuse in this case.
Sudhakar neither insulted the individual in person nor sent any derogatory messages.It is evident that the Congress government is targeting opposition leaders,he said.
Previously,similar actions were taken against MLA Byrathi Basavaraj.In Kodagu, BJP worker Vinay Somayya had left a death note before taking his life.
However,the names of Congress MLAs A.S.Ponnanna and Manthar Gowda were not mentioned in the FIR.The police must act impartially toward everyone,he added.
Driver Babu had taken loans for various reasons and was cheated by some individuals.However, Dr.K. Sudhakar’s role in this matter is unclear.The government is resorting to such tactics to harass opposition leaders.
Even though a death note was found earlier,it was not reported to the police.Babu’s family members did not mention Dr.K.Sudhakar’s name,yet he has been named as the primary accused, Ashok alleged.
*BJP Being Targeted:
Speaking on the issue,Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council,Chalavadi Narayanaswamy,said that the Congress is targeting BJP leaders such as MLAs Munirathna,C.T.Ravi, and Ravikumar.
In the suicide note,driver Babu mentioned that Manjunath and Nagesh cheated him by taking money. He also stated that he incurred losses from online gaming.Nowhere in the note did he accuse MP Dr.K.Sudhakar.
Narayanaswamy added that they help anyone who approaches them,but if someone who sought help later dies by suicide,they cannot be held responsible.
Previously,the names of Kodagu MLAs,Manthar Gowda and A.S.Ponnanna,as well as Minister Priyank Kharge, surfaced in a suicide case.There was substantial evidence in that case.
Contractor Sachin Panchal had met Minister Priyank Kharge multiple times and spoken with him.Despite such evidence,no action was taken against the minister, Narayanaswamy said.
MP Dr.K.Sudhakar has no authority to provide employment to the driver.A baseless conspiracy has been hatched against him.
Therefore,his name should be removed from the FIR. Otherwise,justice will be served in court,and the government will face embarrassment,he warned.
In a caste-based abuse case,there must be evidence of the individual being insulted in a public place with witnesses present.Since there is no such evidence in this case, filing a caste-based abuse case is wrong.
Doesn’t the government know this? The Congress government is strategically targeting BJP leaders,he alleged.
