“Due to the Misgovernance of the State Government, BJP’s Return to Power is Certain”.
Haveri:For the people of Karnataka, the Congress government is as good as dead and looking at the misgovernance of the current administration,it is certain that the BJP will return to power in the state, said former Chief Minister and Member of Parliament Basavaraj Bommai.
He was speaking today at the BJP district office on Kaginele Road in Haveri, where he held a meeting with party leaders and workers to prepare for the upcoming event organized by the Shrimati Gangamma S.Bommai Trust, scheduled for Thursday,August 14,in Haveri here on Saturday.
Bommai said they have decided to strengthen the BJP in Haveri. The people must rally en masse behind the BJP. The state government has completely failed and the corruption is rampant.
If they fight on behalf of the people during such times, they will stand with them.People today are very alert — not just toward the ruling party but also toward the opposition.
Even they are under close public scrutiny. Hence, they must work in a united manner.I, too, will dedicate more time and visit all taluks”.
The MP said the incumbent government is dead in the eyes of the people. When it comes to farmers, the Chief Minister shows apathy and indifference.
The government has failed completely in providing seeds and fertilizers to farmers. For the past two years, crops have been destroyed, but not even a single paisa has been released as compensation.
During the BJP tenure, they provided double the relief amount offered by the central government—nearly Rs. 7,000 crore in compensation.
Kisan Samman for Farmers
The former CM said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 20th installment of the Kisan Samman scheme from Varanasi.
Around Rs 20,000 crore has been disbursed to 7 crore farmers. In Haveri district alone, Rs 30.07 crore has been released to 1.56 lakh farmers, and in Gadag district, Rs 23 crore has been released to 1.07 lakh farmers. Funds are being released regularly.
Karnataka has benefitted immensely from the Centre’s Mudra scheme and the Kisan Samman scheme. Because of the support they extended to farmers, they have gained in a big way. They must highlight the achievements of both the previous BJP government (when we were in power) and the central government to effectively counter the opposition. If anyone speaks against the central government, they must respond appropriately.
He said in the upcoming Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat elections, his resolution and goal is for the BJP to win in all eight assembly segments. Let all of them work unitedly. Seeing the current Congress administration, it is clear that the BJP will once again come to power in the state. If they do their work sincerely, they will surely succeed.
Former MLAs and BJP district president Veerupakshappa Ballari, former MLA Arun Kumar Pujar, Haveri City BJP Mandal President Girish Tuppada, party leaders Manjunath Olekar, Santosh Patil, Lingaraj Chapparadahalli, Bharati Jambagi, and other taluk presidents, senior party members, and workers were present.
