Alert Bengaluru Rural Railway Police busted inter state drug racket and caught two mules red handed with 970 grams of Hashish oil worth Rs.70 lakh from them.
The accused identified as Kantubukta Appalaraju,34,a labourer and his associates Yeshwanth,19,student were caught while they were waiting at platform 1 in Yelahanka Railway Station to handover the bag containing Hashish oil to hand it over to their contact.
They had come from Vijayanagaram in AP to Bengaluru in Prashanthi express.
The police on patrolling duty on suspicious checked the bag and seized the drugs.
The duo told the police that they were offered money by Tangati Bharath to deliver the bag and return to their home town.
The duo was booked under NDPS act and efforts are on to track down bharath and the contact person who is supposed to receive the bag at Yelahanka station.
