A drunk man who sneaked into residential apartment near police commissioner office and climbed up a tree to steal jackfruits was rescued by police on Thursday afternoon.
The Man who is under the influence of alcohol ventured into the apartment complex hoodwinking the security and climbed up the tree .
While crawling on the branch to reach the jackfruits,he lost balance and was dangling raising alarm for help.
Residents of Embassy apartment alerted the security and the police who rushed to the spot .
Since they have little time to save him,the police arranged a tarpaulin and saved him after he slipped from the 40 feet.
Since he was under shock the police offered him water and took him to the Bowring hospital for treatment.
The police are trying to ascertain his identity and waiting for his recovery to question.This incident was also exposed the security lapses in the high security zone.
