Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai questioned the stoic silence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on the Haveri Moral policing incident and demanded that he must announce his stand on the issue.

He told reporters here on Thursday that there had been allegation of the sexual assault on the victim who belongs to the Minority community, and the police must subject her to the medical test and probe the incident from all the angles to punish the guilty.

The CM who always speaks against the moral policing has been silent in this regard.

He said the incident took place when a couple belonging to thw different religions were inside a room. There are charges of the gang rape also.

He had already spoken to the Haveri Superintendent of Police but he had been denying the gang rape. The victim must be subjected to the medical test.

The Congress government had failed to give protection to the Minority community woman. The guily must be punished.

Legal battle against the guarantee schemes implementation panel:

He said the government was giving the powers of the guarantee schemes to the party workers despite having the system starting from the village accountant to deputy commissioner to the chief secretary.Whether the existing system has collapsed? .

“I am very much disappointed with the CM Siddaramaiah’s style of functioning. Is Siddaramaiah the CM of Karnataka or the Congress CM?

Does the government required the Congress workers to supervise the implementation of the guarantee schemes?

Who has given the powers to you to authorise the workers to do this work?

The state treasury is the contribution of tax payers hard earned money and not of your workers. The people have given powers to you and not to your workers.

The government has decided to give them the status of the cabinet minister. There is the supreme court ruling that cabinet rank status must not be given to more than 15 per cent but the government has violating the same.

The chief secretary must not allow for it or else he will be the party to the same. This amounts to nepotism and a complaint will be given to the governor against the same and also launch a legal battle”.

PM would have opened Ram Mandir if it was built by the Congress Party:

On the boycott of the Congress leaders for the inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodya, the former CM said a historic function is being held there following the construction of the temple but the Congress leaders were unable to digest it.

They had thought the temple construction would not be done as they had been doing politics on the Temple issue since from the beginning. The people across the country were supporting the function.

There was no mistake in the opening of the temple but the people elected PM.The former PM Jawaharlal Nehru had the opportunity of opening the Somnath temple but he didnt go or else he would have performed the puja.

No pressure:

Asked about the Haveri Lok Sabha ticket,Bommai said anybody can try for the ticket and he would work for any leader who gets the ticket. There was no pressure on him to contest from Haveri in the coming Lok Sabha polls.
