The JJ Nagar police opened fire and caught two murder accused who were on the run after stabbing a 26-year-old man to death hours after he was released on bail from central prison of Parappana Agrahara prison on Saturday.
The accused Deepu,28 and Arun,27 were hiding in a forest area in RR Nagar after stabbing Vijay to death .
Probe revealed that Vijay had rivalry with Arun,who owned a footwear shop in Kalasipalya and the duo had a fight few months ago.Vijay in a fit of rage stabbed Arun .
The Kalasipalya police have registered a case of attempt to murder and arrested Vijay and remanded him to judicial custody.
Arun who recovered from the injury waited for Vijay release to avenge.On Saturday the duo confronted Vijay in Janata colony in JJ Nagar and stabbed him after heated argument.The profusely bleeding Vijay was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed later .
The police have taken up a case of murder and based on the information the duo was hiding in the forest patch in RR Nagar reached the spot and surrounded the area.
The police started combing operation and made announcement warning the duo to surrender .
The duo attacked police personnel in an attempt to flee . The JJ Nagar police inspector Kempegowda warned them to stop and fired in the air to warn before shooting their legs .
The injured were later taken to the hospital along with the policemen and were recovering .
The police are awaiting for their recovery to question while they are booked under assaulting government servants while on duty along with the murder case.
