*Opposition Leader R.Ashok writes a song on the occasion of Father’s Day.
Parents are the gods at home, yet some never have the heart to worship them, said Opposition Leader R.Ashok.
Speaking at the release event of the Kannada emotional song “Nijanayaka Appa” (True Leader Father) held at JSS Education Complex on the occasion of Father’s Day, he shared his thoughts.
“I first contested in a gram panchayat election. My father wanted me to become the gram panchayat president, but I never did.He also wished for me to become an engineer.
However,he passed away when I was just 27.Many fathers are still with their children, but it’s rare for children to openly say they love their father.
Parents are the gods at home, but some lack the heart to revere them. Instead, they worship stone idols or offer prayers only after their parents are gone,”he said.
“I wrote a song”:
“I wrote a song to cherish the love of a father, pouring my emotions into it.The song has been released, and I urge everyone to listen to it and share love with their fathers.I dedicate this song to my father and all fathers,”he added.
“A father is the pillar of the family,a yogi who pulls the cart of household responsibilities. He manages the entire family, providing pocket money for children and funds for the wife to run the household. The father is the navigator and guardian of the home,”he said.
Recalling an incident,he said,“Once, there was a dispute among locals in our village, and they came to our house to call me.But my father didn’t let me go out.
If I had gone that day,I might have gotten involved and become a culprit. If I’ve reached this position without making mistakes,it’s because of my father. He was the guardian of our home that day.”
“A mother gives life, but a father gives a way of life. Fathers toil their entire lives for their children, yearning only for their love.Father’s Day is celebrated to understand this emotion,”he said.
“Confusion in governance”:
“There is a lot of confusion in the state’s administration. The government hasn’t admitted its fault in the stampede tragedy. No one is coming forward to provide treatment for the injured.
The Chief Minister gives one statement, while the Cricket Association gives another. I’ve demanded a legislative session to clarify who is at fault. If the government claims it’s not at fault, they should hold a session,”he insisted.
“Rain has caused damage in many areas, but no relief operations have been conducted.During BJP’s tenure,we provided Rs.1 lakh as compensation, but the Congress government is giving only ₹10,000.No compensation is being provided for farmers’ crop losses.
How long will they chant the guarantee mantra? Give farmers a guarantee to live,” he demanded.
