He was promoted as DIGP and posted as Police Commissioner of Mangalore City and also served for Central Deputation from State Police to BSF to work as DIG in BSF 12.
He also served as DIGP and Commander of Anti Naxalite Force,Internal Security Division before promoted to Inspector General of Police.

While serving as Inspector General of Police, Administration,Chief Office,Bengaluru,during COVID-19 pandemic emergency time worked to make proper food arrangements to more than 1 Lakh immigrant labourers settled in and around Bengaluru City and other districts of the States and outside States,Dry Rations kits arranged to immigrants and transport and train arrangements to them to return to their native places.
His personal mobile number had been viral among the migrant labourers.
After that while serving as Additional Director General of Police,Anti Corruption Bureau,Bengaluru,during the second wave of COVID-19,he arranged for distribution of 155 Oxygen Concentrators to 30 districts of Karnataka supplied to the Government hospitals in rural areas with help of donors.
