Officials of the Organized Crime Wing on Tuesday arrested a 32-year-old rowdy-sheeter and seized a country made pistol with two rounds of ammunition from him.
Based on a tip off,a team of police led by Inspector Ramesh R,track down Sameer Shariff,on bore bank road in DJ Halli and caught him red handed while he was waiting to deliver the weapon to his custom.
Sameer told the the police that he had sourced the weapon from his contact in Dehli for a cheaper rate and brought to the city to sell and make money.
Based on his information,the police have arrested his source,identified as Tej Bahaddur from Punjab booking the duo under Arms act .
The duo have been taken into the custody to ascertain their network,a senior officer,said .
