The Annaporneshwarinagar police have arrested Madenur Manu kannada actor and registered a rape and cheating case against him on the charges of rape, blackmail and cheating his colleague on the pretext of marrying her .
According to the complaint,the victim met the accused identified as Madenur Manu during a comedy show on a private TV channel in 2018.
The duo become close and used to visit the shows in different cities for private program.During on such event, the duo had gone to Shivamogga where the accused on the pretext of giving her renumeration came to her room where she stayed and raped her.
The victim when objected he promised to marry her.The accused is already married and had a child,the victim stated in her complaint .
The accused soon started sexually assaulting the victim on the false promise of marriage and even forced her abortion twice .
The accused had also recorded the private videos and blackmailed her by leaking it on social media whenever she demanded him for the marriage .
The victim also paid him lakhs of rupees for his movie venture.Despite all this the accused avoiding her and refused to marry which prompted her to file the complaint on Wednesday.
Based on complaint a special team arrested him from Hassan and brought to city for further investigation.
