A toddler sleeping next to his father on the footpath outside Bowring and lady Curzon hospital has been kidnapped on the wee hours of Thursday.
Based on the complaint filed by the father of the boy, Mukesh Vagriya,the police have registered a kidnap case against the unknown person for further investigations .
Mukesh,a native of Rajasthan has come with his wife and children from Rajasthan a month ago in search of job.
He was selling balloons in and around Shivajinagar bus stand and would sleep on the footpaths.
On Wednesday night after dinner he went to rest with his family while his wife was sleeping with her four year old daughter Mukesh was sleeping with 1.4 year old Rohith .
The incident came to light at around 2 am when Mukesh got to check Rohith was missing .
Soon they start searching for the boy and enquired with the passers-by but in vain.After searching for few hours, they approached the police .
The police are gathering CCTV footage to identify the accused.Police suspect that a woman had picked up the child and efforts are on to identify her .
