BBMP Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has directed officials to expedite and swiftly complete the comprehensive survey of Scheduled Castes within the limits of BBMP.
Addressing a virtual conference(VC) held today regarding the ongoing comprehensive survey of Scheduled Castes in the city, he stated that the survey began on May 5,2025,and instructed officials to accelerate the process across respective zones to ensure its early completion.
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been designated as enumerators for all 28 Assembly constituencies within BBMP limits. Senior officials of the respective zones have been directed to personally supervise the survey.
*Dedicated Server System for BBMP:
In order to facilitate faster completion of the comprehensive SC survey across the 28 Assembly constituencies spread over 8 zones of the BBMP,a dedicated server system will be implemented to support the process.
*Formation of Coordination Team:
To address any challenges encountered during the survey,the Chief Commissioner instructed that a coordination team be formed comprising representatives from BBMP and the E-Governance department to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
*Additional Training to be Provided:
As the survey is being conducted via a mobile application,officials were directed to arrange for additional training to ensure enumerators are well-prepared and can complete the survey effectively and promptly.
*Required Documents to be Provided:
Enumerators will visit households and conduct the survey using mobile software.During this process,the following documents must be provided:
*Caste Certificate of the individual belonging to a Scheduled Caste.
* Educational records.
* Proof of annual income.
* Employment details.
* Aadhaar number or Ration Card and other necessary documents.
Those eligible for the SC/sub-caste comprehensive survey must register using Aadhaar or Ration Card and provide personal details of themselves and their family members.
They are required to furnish complete information including details of all family members,education, income,employment,government benefits received,and access to basic infrastructure.
At the meeting BBMP Coordination Committee Secretary and Special Commissioner ( Welfare ) Suralkar Vikas Kishor,along with all Zonal Commissioners,Joint Commissioners,and other concerned officials were present
