KSTDC cab drivers booked by KIAL Airport police for assaulting Private employee over trivial row over parking

A 32-year-old private firm employee was assaulted by a group of KSTDC cab drivers at airport over a trivial row over parking on Saturday.

The victim,Thanish Raghav,had gone to airport to receive his wife and father coming from Rajasthan.While he had parked his car at the arrival terminal,few cab drivers approached him and asked him to move the car.

Thanish told them he would do it in few minutes as he was waiting for his family.Heated arguments ensued between them following which the accused ganged up hurled abuses and thrashed him black and blue.

Thanish started bleeding from his nose and went to a near-by hospital for treatment where doctor after examination told him that it nose has been fractured and needed surgery .

He later approached the police and filed a complaint with the details of the cab drivers .

Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of charging the cab drivers under section 117 (2) ( voluntarily causing grievous hurt),351 (criminal intimidation) and section 352 ( intentional insults intended to provoke a breach of public peace) for further investigation.
