A 42-year-old Homemaker,identified as Bhagya,was allegedly murdered by her husband,Sriram,within the Thalaghatpura police station limits around 4:30 pm on Saturday.
The 50-year-old accused,who is currently unemployed, reportedly fled the scene after the attack.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Bhagya was assaulted with a sharp weapon inside her home.
The incident came to light after the couple’s 22-year-old son filed a complaint,based on which an FIR was registered at Thalaghatpura police station.
Bhagya is survived by her son and daughter.Police have detained Sriram and are continuing further investigation.
