Bengaluru CCB Police Seized Drugs Worth ₹5 Crore In 2 Separate Cases,2 Arrested

CCB Narcotics Control Squad arrested a Civil engineer from Kerala turned drug peddler for illegal sale of hydroponic ganja total worth 4.52 crore Seized

The Anti Narcotics Wing of the Central Crime Branch on Monday arrested a 25-year-old Civil engineer from Kerala and recovered 3.5 kilograms of Hydroponic Ganga and cash total worth Rs.4.52 crore from him.

The accused Jiju Prasad,was caught red handed while delivering the drugs backside D mart in electronic city .

The accused was working in a private firm and living in an apartment in Bommasandra .

The accused told the police that he was sourcing the drugs from his contact identified as Ashwin Samuel who is presently on the run.

The accused had a large number of customers in their group and receive drug consignment and peddler drugs to their clients through drop location method.

Senior officer said the accused had a whatsapp group of their clients and receive the orders online and deliver the consignment in an isolated places and share the locations online.

This is the most common method used by the peddlers to avoid undue attention of the police.The accused used to sell each gram of hydroponic ganja for a price of Rs. 12,000.He would carry the drugs packed in plastic covers and carry them in his bagpack .

The clients list is huge comprising of IT employees living in and around Electronic city and Bommasandra,the officer,said .

The police are now on the lookout for Samuel who is the source of the drugs from Kerala .

The police also exploring the kerala connection in the drugs as many peddlers are operating between Kerala and Karnataka.

On Thursday,a team of police from Areekode station in Mallapuram district of Kerala raided an apartment and arrested a Ugandan national for peddling MDMA to her clients through local peddlers operating from the city .

The accused Ugandan national,Nakubure Teopista 30, was arrested from the Electronic City area of Bangalore. The raid was followed by the arrest of two local peddlers earlier last week who revealed the source of drugs .

Following the increase of inter state drug peddling racket,the Kerala police have heightened security and increased checks at the entry and exit points.

Additionally,CCB’s Narcotics Control Wing arrested 8 drug peddlers from Kerala involved in selling MDMA crystal.110gm MDMA,10 phones,a tablet, weighing machine & 2 cars—worth ₹27 lakh—were seized.
