Two former Bigboss Kannada reality show contestants who are arrested by Basaveshwaranagar for making reel in public space carrying a lethal weapon are in trouble again for trying to mislead the police by surrendering the fake weapon in an attempt to dilute the case.
Bhanuprakash,PSI,social media monitoring cell,noticed the duo Vinay Gowda and Rajath Kishan,carrying the machete walking on the road to create 18 seconds reel which was later uploaded on social media .
Following the complaint the duo was charged under Arms acts and committing a crime with common intention and arrested them after they appeared before the police for questioning.
The police also seized the weapon which claimed to be made of fibre.Considering this the duo was released on station bail but later verification of actual video found that the weapon was made of metal and the duo tried to mislead the police.
Assistant Commissioner of Police,Chandan Kumar,who was supervising the investigation, said that the police are still clarifying on the seized weapon .
We will verify the weapon in video and seized ,if found other we will take further legal actions on two suspects”, he said .
City police commissioner,B.Dayananda said that the police have sent the seized weapons to the FSL for analysis and based on the report necessary action will be taken.
