50 year old construction labourer was injured after loose soil fell on him near the neighbouring building’s compound collapsed on him near Netkallappa Circle in RV Road of Basavanagudi on Wednesday.
The injured identified as Sharanappa hails from Yadgir sustained injuries on his legs was rescued and rushed to the hospital where he is recovering .
According to the police two workers were digging mud for the foundation for a new building when excessive excavation caused the adjacent soil to loosen and cave in, trapping one of them.
The injured was rescued by the police after they received an alert through emergency helpline number.The Basavanagudi police are awaiting for Sharanappa’s recovery to record his statement for further investigation.
