The Nelamangala rural police are on the lookout for a drunk motorcycle rider for assaulting a BMTC driver with a beer bottle over a trivial row on Tuesday.
The victim,Yogesh CR,driver of the bus was heading from Dabaspete to Yeshwanthpur carrying passengers.
While the bus reached Mahimapura gate,a motorcycle rider aged around 40 years intercepted the bus and parked the bike in front of the bus .
Before the driver realized he walked up to him and assaulted with a beer bottle which he was carrying and hurled abuses at him.
The conductor and other passengers rushed to the help of driver while the accused threatening the driver with dire consequences sped away .
The injured driver was taken to Nelamangala government hospital for treatment before filing a case against the accused .
The victim also noted down the bike registration number and handed it over to the police seeking legal action.
Based on the complaint,the police have registered a case against the accused charging him under assault or criminal force against public servant,intentional insult to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation,for further investigation.
