CM Chandrababu: Sectarianism is not my goal

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the allegations against Jagan that he took bribes worth crores of rupees to sign a solar power purchase agreement with Seki during the YSRCP government are a golden opportunity for him to take action against him.

Even if the Seki agreement is a sweet opportunity to take action against Jagan,
we are not going to get involved.
If arrest is the goal, we will do it as soon as we come to power.
The YSRCP government has stirred up the honeypot of land disputes and
we are settling them one by one,
CM Chandrababu revealed in a conversation with reporters.

I am not ready to repeat the mistakes of the previous government. The leader should listen to everything that is said. A stable model should be established. That is why the party has survived for more than 40 years.

-Chandrababu

To a reporter’s question about whether some YSRCP leaders, who were heavily accused during the previous government’s tenure, will now join one of the coalition parties and will there be opposition among the people? Chandrababu replied, “There will be some problems in the coalition. We will talk about them and resolve them.”

Today, Amaravati: The allegations against Jagan that he took bribes worth crores of rupees to sign a solar power purchase agreement with Seki during the YSRCP government… Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that he has a golden opportunity to take action against him. He said that if his goal was to settle disputes and arrest Jagan, he would have done that as soon as he came to power. He said that political favoritism is not his method, he will give life to credibility, and that is the difference between YSRCP leaders and him. He spoke to reporters at the TDP central office on Wednesday. Will the agreement with Seki be canceled? Will an investigation be ordered against Jagan? To the question… “If the agreement is canceled, a fine will have to be paid. No action can be taken at this stage.” He said that the Jagan government has stirred up a honeycomb of land disputes and they are rectifying them one by one. He said that the mistakes made in the land survey at that time will be corrected and resolved in a way that is acceptable to everyone. He said that a decision will be taken in the next cabinet meeting to resolve the issue of Simhachalam Panchagramas in Visakhapatnam district.

It was only TDP that gave due priority to BCs.

Chandrababu said that his government is credited with giving key posts like Union Minister, Assembly Speaker, TDP state president, CS, DGP to BCs. He said that the Jagan government has tied all the key posts to one social group. “The TDP is a party committed to ‘social engineering’ to give due priority to all sections of society, not just BCs. We have allocated 340 liquor shops to Geeta workers. It was the TDP government that did the SC classification. Now, with the court’s verdict, we have again appointed a one-member commission. We will take action based on the commission’s report,” he said.

How can everyone want the chairmanship?

Chandrababu said that all those who have worked hard for the party are being given due priority in the allocation of posts. “We have recently filled the posts of irrigation societies. There are also many corporations, local bodies, cooperative societies and trust boards. How can everyone get the chairman post? This time I am rating everyone and giving posts based on performance,” he said. He said that the number of party membership has reached 94 lakhs and will soon cross one crore.

We are learning about pension in moments.

“We have done geotagging to find out whether the coordinators are giving pensions to the beneficiaries’ homes. 92.53%… pensions were given within 300 meters of the house. 7.46% were given outside 300 meters. We will come up with a system to send messages immediately to warn such people,” he said. He said that we are finding out through IVRS whether the grain procurement money has been given to the farmers within 48 hours or not.

Let’s not leave those who have done wrong.

Chandrababu reiterated that he will not indulge in political factionalism and at the same time will not let those who have done wrong go free. He said that his MLAs who are facing allegations of poor performance are being called and counseled. He mentioned that during the previous government, the police did not arrest those who had committed many mistakes and were facing serious charges in a timely manner, but instead gave them the opportunity to get bail… “We will review each case. If the police do not respond, we will take action. There are one or two failures. We will correct them,” he said.

Measures for international flights

“Between 2014-19, we brought Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati airports to international standards. That has been reversed in the last five years. We will take steps to start international flight services from Tirupati and Vijayawada,” the CM said.

It’s hard to make everything happen overnight.

Chandrababu said that it will take some time to recover from the economic devastation created by the Jagan government and to put the state back on track. He said that he is taking up the work in order of priority, balancing the aspirations of the people, development and welfare. He commented that it is difficult to make everything happen overnight. “There are high aspirations among the people and employees. We are paying salaries to the employees on time. Despite financial difficulties, we will fulfill the other aspirations in stages. We have already implemented three or four welfare schemes. Free bus travel for women, greetings to mothers, investment assistance to farmers… We will do each and every one. We have been able to bring in Rs. 4 lakh crore in investments in the six months of our government’s formation,” he said. “Before the 2019 elections, Jagan made promises like abolishing CPS, banning alcohol, and providing Rs. 3,000 per month to all those above 18 years… but after coming to power, he showed his stubbornness. “They have looted all the sand,” Chandrababu Naidu fumed.
