Karnataka approves major economic boost: RS.29,679 crore investment and 66,360 jobs through SHLCC

In a major push towards industrial growth and employment generation, the State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) today approved investment proposals worth Rs.29,679.20 crore that are expected to create approximately 66,360 jobs across various sectors in Karnataka.

The 68th meeting of the SHLCC, chaired by the Chief Minister at his official residence ‘Krishna’, gave the green light to nine new investment projects and eight additional investment or amendment proposals.

The newly approved investment proposals span a diverse range of industries.

Leading the pack is M/s Vibrancy Real Estates Private Limited with an investment of Rs.2,195.94 crore, expected to generate a substantial 30,000 jobs.

M/s Mahindra Aerostructures Private Limited follows closely with Rs.2,300 crore investment and 3,000 employment opportunities.

The renewable energy sector receives a significant boost with M/s Hero Future Energies Private Limited’s proposal of Rs.9,760 crore investment, creating 3,200 jobs.

Other notable new proposals include M/s Aequs Consumer Products Private Limited (Rs.1,104 crore, 4,813 jobs), M/s Epsilon Cam Private Limited (Rs.1,500 crore,500 jobs), M/s Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited (Rs.1,200.02 crore,500 jobs),M/s Nirani Sugars Limited (Rs.4,062.60 crore, 700 jobs),M/s Trualt Bioenergy Limited (Rs.2,988 crore,21,436 jobs),and M/s Lighthouse Canton Alternatives Asset Manager Private Limited (Rs.600 crore,200 jobs).

Collectively, these nine new projects represent an investment of Rs.25,710.56 crore and are projected to create 64,349 employment opportunities.

In addition to the new investments, the committee also approved eight amendment or additional investment proposals totaling Rs.3,968.64 crore.

These include M/s MSPL Limited (Rs.884.25 crore), M/s Nsure Reliable Power Solutions Private Limited (Rs.250 crore,135 jobs), M/s Honda Cars India Limited (Rs.437 crore, 220 jobs), M/s Bheema Fine Chemicals Private Limited (Rs.605.15 crore, 390 jobs), M/s Sansera Engineering Limited (Rs.492.24 crore, 600 jobs), M/s TVS Motor Company Limited (Rs.1,050 crore, 510 jobs), and M/s Havells India Limited (Rs.250 crore). These amendments are expected to generate an additional 2,011 jobs.

The combined impact of today’s approvals represents a significant milestone in Karnataka’s industrial development trajectory.

The total of 17 projects approved – comprising nine new or expansion proposals and eight amendment proposals – brings the aggregate investment to Rs.29,679.20 crore with employment generation for 66,360 individuals across the state.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to properly check project reports for granting licences to industries. A pre-audit of the project must be made compulsory before granting approval.He directed Finance Department officials to form a new audit team for this purpose.

All the points in the industrial policy should be properly followed. He also instructed that all necessary steps should be taken to encourage the establishment and expansion of industries.

This development reinforces Karnataka’s position as one of India’s most attractive investment destinations, demonstrating the state government’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment while simultaneously addressing employment needs.

The diverse sectoral representation in today’s approvals – spanning real estate, automotive, renewable energy, manufacturing, consumer products, and infrastructure – highlights the balanced industrial growth strategy being pursued by the state administration.

Ministers,M.B. Patil,K.J.George,Priyank Kharge,and Ajay Singh,Chief Secretary Dr.Shalini Rajneesh,the Chief Minister’s Economic Advisor,L.K. Atheeq,Additional Chief Secretary,Tushar Girinath,Principal Secretary of the Commerce and Industries Selvakumar,and other senior officials were present.
