Truck driver died and another injured after crashing into CNG loaded truck in outskirts of Chikkaballapur

A 45-year-old truck driver died of burn injuries while another truck driver injured when a boulder laden truck crashed into a CNG loaded truck in the outskirts of Chikkaballapur on Friday.

The incident occurred near Hunegal village when the CNG truck driver slow down to take a u turn to go to the industrial area.Meanwhile another truck carrying boulders lost control and crashed into the CNG truck .

Due to the impact,both the trucks overturned with an explosion before catching fire.The villagers hearing the explosion sound rushed to the spot and with the help of police pulled out both the drivers.

The injured identified as CNG truck driver Narasimhamurthy,45 and Madappan,60,from Dharmapuri and shifted them to the hospital and later shifted to Victoria hospital for further treat, where Narasimhamurthy succumbed to his injuries on Saturday .

Traffic on the busy NH7 was disrupted for over two hours until the police pulled out both the burning vehicles toppled on the road with the help of fire and emergency service personnel to prevent further damage.

A case of death due to negligence and rash and negligence driving has been registered against Madappan for further investigations.
