he Whitefield police have arrested a 50-year-old man for molesting a home alone 14-year-old girl at her house in Siddapura labourers colony in Whitefield on Tuesday.
The victim’s brother aged around 17 years was working under the accused identified as Mirja Mondal,who owned a garbage segregation unit.
The victim’s mother,a domestic help had gone to her native West Bengal living the victim and her brother at home.
According to the complaint,the victim had some eye related problem and the accused volunteered to help and taken her to hospital couple of times for the treatment .
Using the opportunity and taking advantage of the situation,the accused would visit the house of the victim and molested her repeatedly for few days.
The incident came to light when the accused step daughter who stayed in the neighbourhood visited the house of the victim .
The victim narrated her ordeal following which he informed her family members before raising a complaint against her step father.
Based on the complaint on Wednesday,the whitefield police rushed to the spot recorded the statement of the victim, and arrested the accused .
Mondal had escaped as soon as the complaint was filed and the police tracked him down on Thursday.
