External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that they will support the two-state solution to resolve the Gaza issue. He clarified this in Parliament today.

Jaishankar : External Affairs Minister Jaishankar made it clear that India supports a ‘bilateral’ solution to the Gaza War. He revealed this while speaking during the question and answer session in Parliament today. He said that if the issue of terrorism and Hamas hostages is not mentioned in any resolution on Gaza, it will not reflect the actual situation and will not be balanced.
India itself is a victim of terrorism. It is in our interests to ignore and downplay terrorism. India will look at any resolution with maturity, including the words used in it. New Delhi condemns terrorism and arresting people. We believe that any country has the right to respond in such situations. At the same time, the respective countries should also keep in mind the lives of ordinary citizens. “India will support humanitarian laws, ceasefire and end violence,” the foreign minister said.
He said on defense cooperation in Israel. “There is a strong bond with Israel in terms of national security interests. It is a country that stands by when our security is threatened. We will take a decision based on the national security interest,” he said.
TMC leader Saket Gopal questioned India’s stance on banning UNRWA in Israel. At that time, the foreign minister was also asked to respond to the illegal settlements in West Bank. Jaishankar replied, “India has decided to support and cooperate with UNRWA. We will stick to it. Recently, we have also sent aid to that organization,” he said. He reminded that five million dollars of aid is being sent to that organization annually. He said that the necessary help to the people of Palestine is coming from India. He said that 70 metric tons of relief materials and 16.5 metric tons of medicines have been sent.
