Dance master Nadaf turns Chain Snatcher arrested by Jigani police recovered 3 gold chains worth Rs.8 Lakhs

The Jigani police on Monday arrested a 25-year-old dance choreographer turned chain-snatcher to help his girl friend mother’s treatment .

The accused Syed Ali Bala Saheb Nadaf,native of Gadag used to teach dance at a private institute and residing in JP Nagar.

The police have recovered three gold chains worth Rs.8 lakh and a motorcycle he was using to commit the crime .

The accused move around the residential area targeting women and rob their gold chain.The accused approached Ratnamma,a petty shop owner in Jigani on the pretext of buying cigarettes and sped away after snatching her gold chain.

Based on the complaint the police analysed CCTV cameras in and around the area before zeroing in on Nadaf.

Derailed inquiry revealed that Nadaf had a girl friend from Udupi and her mother is suffering from cardiac aliments and under treatment .

In order to help her financially,Nadaf took to crime and give her money after pledging the robbed gold valuables,the police,said while he would send the salary earned from his work to his parents.

The police said that Nadaf was involved in as many as ten chain snatching cases which is being probed, the police, said .
