MSc graduate arrested for torching 3 bikes out of frustration over not owning Royal Enfield

The Peenya police on Tuesday arrested a 25-year-old man for setting three bikes on fire which were parked outside the paying guest accommodation on Thursday .

The accused identified as Pulkith,a post graduate and unemployed resident of Mahalakshmi Layout.The accused wanted to buy his dream bike but due to financial problem he could not.

Meanwhile he noticed a student living in the paying guest accommodation identified as Deepanshu Agarwal, had purchased pre owned bike,few months ago.

The accused who was noticing his favourite bike and out of jealous decided to avenge.As per the plan he walked to the paying guest accommodation and noticed the bike parked in front of the PG.

He stole the petrol from other bike parked alongside doused and set it on fire before fleeing the spot.

Few inmates of Paying guest noticed the bike on fire and alerted Deepanshu.By the time he could act,the bike along with two other bikes parked on either sides of his bike were gutted .

Based on the complaint, the Peenya police rushed to the spot and with the help of CCTV analysis identified the accused and arrested him.
