The East division cyber crime police are on the lookout for a person who changed the phone number of a IT firm employee to make a transaction of Rs.5.7 lakh.

This according to the police is to block the transaction alerts .

The fraud came to light on August 31 when Tushar Agarwal, 27, resident of Thippasandra tried to make transactions with the credit card account to found it was declines due to insufficient fund.

He tried to check the transaction details through net banking but access denied due to change in the mobile number .

Suspecting something fishy,Tushar called the bank and raised a complaint to block his account.He later approached the police based on which the police registered a case under IT act and also charged the accused under section 318 ( cheating ) of BNS on Monday for further investigation.
