Srisailam Dam: Continued flood flow to Srisailam reservoir.. 5 gates are raised and water is released

The flood flow continues from the top of the Srisailam reservoir. With this, the authorities lifted 2 more gates on Tuesday and released the water downstream.

Srisailam: Due to heavy rains in the upper areas, flood water is pouring into the Srisailam reservoir. On Monday, 3 gates were lifted by 10 meters.. Officials released the water downstream.. Recently two more gates were lifted. Thus the water is flowing towards the Nagarjuna Sagar below through all 5 gates. On the other hand, a large number of visitors come to see this beautiful scene.

1.35 lakh cusecs of water is being released through Srisailam reservoir spillway. Inflow is 4.27 lakh cusecs while outflow is 2.21 lakh cusecs. The maximum water level of the reservoir was 885 feet, and currently it is 882.7 feet. The maximum water storage capacity is 215.8 TMC while the current water storage is recorded as 202.9 TMC.
