The HAL police on Monday caught two juveniles involved in mobile robbery.
The accused from Nepal and one of them a high school student aged around 16 years and the other one working as salesman in a cloth shop ganged up and robbed a mobile phone from a private firm employee who was returning home from work in May this year.
Based on the complaint, the police analysed CCTV footage from in and around and track down the accused and recovered the mobile phone.
Inquiries revealed that the accused addicted to alcohol and decided to rob people walking alone .
The police said that this was the first case the accused were involved and committed the offence to arrange money for the alcohol they were addicted to a senior police officer,said .
City police commissioner,B.Dayananda appreciating the police for detecting the crime expressed concern over young people getting into the crime due to vices they are addicted to.
