Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that despite BJP’s continuous slander,guarantees have reached people’s doorsteps.
He explained along with the figures,that apart from the guarantees,money has been earmarked for development as well.
He was speaking to the media at the Meet the Press programme organized by the Bangalore Press Club on the occasion of completion of one year of the present government

We had said in the budget that we would spend 54374 crores For development works other than guarantees.But we spent 56274 crores.
That means we have spent more than what was stated in the budget,he explained along with the figures.
We had said in the budget that 16360 crores will be spent on irrigation. But we spent 18198 crores.We spent more than what was said.
We have also spent 9661 crores in the Public Works Department.He questioned whether it would have been possible to spend so much if the treasury was empty as per BJP’s statement.
We have given reservation for works up to one crore to Scheduled Caste/Class contractors for social welfare, reservation for Backward.
SCSP/TSP Act was implemented by our Govt.Let Modi stop lying and answer as to why the BJP-ruled governments have not implemented the Act,the CM challenged.
Modi is telling another lie that we will take away the reservation from the backward and give it to the Muslims.This is an outright lie.
According to the Chinnappareddy Commission report, Muslim reservation has been in place in the state for 30 years.
The Bommai government has also submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court and has agreed that it will not cancel the reservation for Muslims.
However,Modi is going around telling lies in his speeches.We have not taken away anyone’s reservation.So what Modi is saying is an absolute lie, he said.
BJP and Modi should stop inciting and misleading people for elections.People are aware of BJP’s lies,he said.
He explained that development work is going on in all departments including health,education,irrigation, social welfare and agriculture.
He explained that we have implemented guarantees to increase the purchasing power of the middle class and the poor who were suffering due to BJP’s price hike.

*52009 crores have been earmarked for the guarantees for the next year.He said that we will earmark more than this.

*A special court has been set up for speedy trial of the accused in the Neha murder case.He explained along with statistics that the number of murders has decreased compared to the previous year.
But the wellness of society is more important than statistics.Hence we have issued strict instructions to the authorities to prevent crime.

NDA is also a union:
Responding to Modi’s accusation that Congress has formed an alliance with small parties,the CM said that the NDA is also an alliance.The PM himself has made an alliance and how can he ask us not to form an alliance,he asked.
Replying to a question on how to implement caste census,the CM said we have received the census report. We have not gone through it.We will bring it to the cabinet,he said.
Centre’s betrayal regarding drought relief:
Even when the state faced severe drought, the center did not provide the state’s share of drought relief.We repeatedly went to the centre to ask for our share but it was not provided.
I appealed to the Prime Minister and Amit Shah.But to no avail.So the Supreme Court had to be approached.
Then Amit Shah,Modi,Nirmala Sitharaman repeatedly came to the state and lied to the people.However,they asked for two weeks’ time only before the Supreme Court.
After the Supreme Court firmly directed, they gave only 19% of what we asked for.He said that we will continue the legal fight for the arrears.
Despite the non-cooperation of the Centre,we did not let the people of the state down.We gave a solution.
I have given clear instructions not to adjust the drought relief money to the loan.He said that we have reserved compensation money only for farmers.
Answering a question on the Pen Drive Case Allegation, the CM said BJP’s Devaraj Gowda first held a press conference. The rape victim filed a complaint.
BJP knew the matter six months before.However BJP gave the NDA ticket to Prajwal.Modi came and gave a speech in support of Prajwal.
Replying a question on whether he will become a Prime Minister, the CM said there is no Gujarat model in the country. That has been proven false.
The Karnataka model is in place in the country as we have announced and implemented five guarantees.
At the centre INDIA alliance will come to power and we will discuss and decide who should be the Prime Minister based on the implementation of our programmes.
Replying to a question on Lok Sabha Election Results the CM said that ‘we will win minimum 15 seats and maximum 20 seats in the state’.We will not claim that we will win 28 seats like BJP’.
Reacting to a question on cabinet reshuffle after the Lok Sabha election results,the CM said As of now,we do not have the issue of cabinet expansion before us’ But we take decisions in our party as directed by the High Command.
