one-and-a-half-year-old toddler was run over by a car driven by her father in front of the house in Agara village in HSR Layout on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Shazia Jannat a resident of HSR Layout returned from Channapattana along with her parents after attending a family function.
The father was unloaded luggage while the other members of the family got down and went inside the house.
Shazia came out the gate and standing next to the front door where father was busy in the driver seat.He failed to notice the girl and drove away.
Shazia standing close to the door was knocked down and came under the back wheel and crushed to death.
The entire incident was recorded on the CCTV footage the family members hearing the scream rushed out and took her to hospital where the doctors declared her as brought dead.
The HSR layout traffic traffic police arrested the father on the charges of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving and released him on bail later.
