The CCB officials on tuesday busted a racket and arrested a gang of nine including a woman who are operating fake surety racket in and around the city court complex .
Based on a tip off,a team of officials raided KG Road in Mysore bank circle and arrested the gang members red handed .
The prime accused in the racket identified as Veeresh Virupakshappa,37 from Raichur along with his associates are fabricating Aadhar cards and land records with the photos of the accused claiming to be the owner of the land and present them before the court to stand as surety for the accused in civil and petty criminal cases .
The accused would charge heavy amount from the people to arrange for this surety and operating for many months until the CCB officials were alerted .
The other accused including Umesh Kumar,48, Amaresh Dyamappa,38,Prakash,42,Santosh,29,Umesh, 49,G Nagaraj,46,Manjunath,48 and Tabassum,38 from RT Nagar .
A case has been registered against the accused under cheating and forgery with Halasurgate police station for further investigations.
