Two people arrested for shouting Pro Pak slogans at a pub in JP Nagar

T ension prevailed for sometime at Mokaholic pub in JP Nagar when a group of four started shouting Pro Pakistan slogans when the crowd gathered at the Pub cheering for Indian cricket team victory over Australia on Friday.

Taking strong objection people confronted the accused and questioned them.While two of them managed to escape the accused later handed over to the police .

Based on the complaint filed by Sudhir Singh,manager of the pub,the police arrested the accused identified as Inayath Asadullah,28,a vehicle recovery agent with a private finance company and his associate Syed Mubarak,25,who is also claimed to be police informer .

The other accused identified as Altaf and his associate managed to escape,efforts are on to track them down, senior officer,said .

The incident occurred on Friday at around 10.30 pm and the Pub was crowded due to live song program organized by the management along with the screening of cricket match between India and Australia.

The crowd was cheering to support the team and shouted Bharat Mata ki Jai.Meanwhile the accused seated in the adjacent table reacted to the shouting shouted “Pakistan Zindabad”.

Sudhir Singh in his complaint said that the accused were trying to disturb the peace and create communal tension.

The police charged the duo under section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion,race,place of birth,residence, language) and remanded to judicial custody .
