The Halasuru police arrested a 23-year-old man for stealing gold valuables from his in laws house after they went out of station few days ago.
The accused Pradeep Kumar is unemployed and due to his bad habits the in-laws kept him away.
Pradeep came to know that his in-laws had gone to Kanyakumari for vacation.Using the opportunity he broke open the house and stole gold valuables worth 2.3 lakh.
Luck ran out for him,when neighbours noticed Pradeep Kumar moving around the house suspiciously and recorded his movement on the mobile and alerted the in-laws.
The theft came to light when in-laws returned from vacation and noticed the house was broke open and valuables missing.
They filed a complaint with the police suspecting Pradeep’s involvement .
Based on the complaint the police track down the accused and recovered the valuables which he had pawned them at a Jewellery shop in KGF and spent the money on vices .
The accused has been booked under theft cases and remanded to judicial custody.
