Mother,daughter brutally murdered at their house in Begur,assailants stabbed them multiple times

In a horrific incident, miscreants killed A 36-year-old woman and her four-year-old daughter were found murdered at their house in Chowdeshwari Layout in Begur on Wednesday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Chandrakala,36, and her daughter Ratanya,4, year old resident of Chowdeshwari layout and a native of Chitradurga.

Chandrakala’s husband Channaveera Swamy works in a garment factory while she used to sold Ayurvedic products from home.The family hailed from Chitradurga and living in an apartment.

As soon as the incident reported Addl CP East, S Murugan, DCP Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,with ACP and other staff rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.

Finger print experts and FSL team with sniffer dog rushed to spot and inspecting the spot and collected finger prints from the spot and after inspecting the spot Addl CP East S Murugan told reporters,the incident came to light at around 6.30 pm when Chandrakala’a sister Chaitra came to visit them.

The door of the house,located on the third floor,was open and Chaitra was shocked to see the bodies of her sister and niece in a pool of blood as she entered the house.She informed the matter to her brother-in-law,who,in turn,alerted the police.

The assailant has murdered both the mother and the daughter brutally by stabbing them multiple times.

The mother’s body was lying in the drawing-room, while the daughter was found dead in bedroom.

As per the preliminary probe,it is suspected that the murder took place in the afternoon.The house was ransacked by assailants and suspecting it could be a case of murder for gain.

It is learnt that Channaveera Swamy had left for work at 9.30 am,after which the assailant has entered the house.The killer suspected to have known to the victims as there is no forced entry.

Based on the evidence obtained from the crime spot we have formed four teams to investigate and nab the assailants, Mr.Murugan said.

A case has been registered in Begur police station and further investigation is on.
