Five member gang arrested for cheating businessman on pretext of getting land in tirupathi recovered 65 lakhs cash and 8.5 lakhs worth gold jewellery,silver articles and 4 cars

The High grounds police on Tuesday arrested a gang of five for cheating a businessman with Rs.1.9 crore on the pretext of getting him a land in Tirupathi.

The accused have been identified as Srinivasa,38,from Sanjaynagar and his associates,Mugileshwar,50, Prabhakar Reddy,42,Rajesh,40,and Ravi Kumar,45.

Senior officer told reporters during investigation it was revealed that the accused approached city based businessman,Radhakrishna at a star hotel with an offer to get him 14 acres of land in Tirupati belonging to their acquaintance for a decent price .

Excited with the offer,Radhakrishna agreed to visit the place to check the land and finalize the deal.As per the plan the accused took Radhakrishna in a car with a token cash of Rs.1.9 crore.

On the way, the accused stopped the car in the outskirt for a refreshment and as soon as Radhakrishna got down from the car,the accused got into the car and sped away leaving him behind.

Shocked Radhakrishna returned to city and complained to High grounds station.

Based on the complaint,the police track down the accused based on the CCTV footage and recovered the valuables including Rs 65 lakh cash,gold valuables worth Rs.8.5 lakh and four cars from the accused .

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,B Dayananda, has appreciated Addl CP West,N Satheesh Kumar,DCP Central,Shekhar T,PI,Bharat B,and his whole team for the exemplary and commendable job done by them he added.
