Three killed and one injured in car and truck collision

Three people were killed and one injured when the car they were travelling collided with a truck head on Midigeshi Kship road in the outskirts of Madhugiri on Monday night .

The deceased have been identified as Aakash,26, Shivakumar,28 and Hemanth,30,while Ujwal was seriously injured and being treated at ICU in Tumakuru hospital.

According to the police,Aaksh,a cab driver by profession an resident of Gujjanudu village in Pavagada along with his friends who are mechanics went in his car to Maramma temple fest in the village.

While heading to the fest,a truck coming from Pavagada in a rash and negligent manner crashed into the car while negotiating a curve near Venkateshwara Kalyana Mantapa in a rash and negligent way, killing three people on the spot.

The impact of the accident was so high that the car was mangled and passers-by and the police struggled to recover the bodies struck inside the mangled car. The front portion of the truck was also damaged in the accident.

The Midigeshi police have registered a case against the driver charging him under death due to negligence and seized the truck for further investigations.
