Hyderabad: PV Ramesh, a retired IAS officer, who previously served as the Principal Secretary of the Finance Department in the AP government, said that it is shocking that a case was filed on the basis of his statement in the AP Skill Development case. He had previously given written answers to the CID on this case. PV Ramesh has responded in the wake of recent TDP chief Chandrababu’s arrest and other developments.
The role of MD and secretary is important.. Any names of them?
“It is ridiculous that Chandrababu was arrested on my statement. The claim that I have become an approver is untrue. How can cases be filed without original files? Finance department has not done anything wrong in skill development. Doubts are being raised about CID’s behavior. I doubt CID has changed what I said in his favour. The names of some of those who released the funds earlier are not in the case. Skill Development MD, Secretary role is the main one.. Why are their names not there?
Why arrest the former CM instead of the officers?
A CM oversees a few hundred things. The officers of the respective departments should take the main responsibility. How will the CM know what is happening in each bank account? What happened to the files that made the policy decision that day? A look at the files of Skill Development Corporation makes it clear. The release of money will not happen by putting pressure on the CM officials. What happened to the note files written on skill development? Why arrest the former CM instead of the erring officials?
