Mamata orders arrest in BJP’s  ‘Goli Maaro’ slogan case in Jadavpur University

Abhijit Ray:From the BJP’s ‘Save Jadavpur’ rally to the slogan ‘Goli Maaro’, the state politics is in turmoil. Now Mamata Banerjee has spoken on this issue. She has ordered strict action against those involved in the incident. The ‘Save Jadavpur’ programme was organised by the BJP Yuva Morcha on Friday. Activists and supporters marched from Golpark to Jadavpur’s 8B bus stand. Suvendu Adhikari led the procession. Slogans of ‘Goli Maro’, ‘Shoe Kill’ were also raised from the procession. Bjp workers and supporters raised their shoes in front of gate number four of the university. The police came forward to resist it. In effect, the university campus became a battlefield. The TMC does not support the slogan ‘Goli Maaro’ from the rally. Banerjee raised the issue from the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad rally stage on Monday. “Goli Maro says,” he said. Delhi thought it would. My dream is gone. I have asked the police to arrest all those who raised the slogan. The CPI(M), Congress and BJP have mixed up now. If there is a disturbance, the police will take action. I strongly instruct the police to safeguards the  colleges where the student studies. No one from outside can do hooliganism inside the college premises. The  Jadavpur  University student death case needs proper justice. But BJP’s is not a method of seeking justice. All those who raised slogans of ‘goli mara’ should be arrested. No one has the right to shoot. It may be recalled that the police are investigating the death of a Jadavpur student. A total of 12 people has already been arrested in connection with the student’s death. However, no one has been arrested in connection with the sloganeering case.
