In a swift action the Southeast Division police cracked a case of abductions of two techies from a crowded place in HSR Layout and arrested a gang of six people within few hours of the incident.
Since it was Friday night and considering the increasing footfall the Southeast Division police led by DCP,CK Baba and team were doing foot patrolling in the crowded area when they received the information about two men were abducted into a car and by a group of people and headed towards Marathahalli ring road .
The foot patrolling was taken up by the police at the crowded places especially during the weekend to ensure police presence and maintain law and order .
Two special teams comprising of 35 police officials were formed who swung into action and intercepted the car and rescued the victims and arrested the accused.
Probe revealed that the victims and the accused are known to each others.The accused according to DCP CK Baba had invested Rs.30 lakh with the victims one year ago who had in turn invested the amount in the marketing network .
Since the accused are not getting the duo returns,they came to meet the victims on Friday.After the talks to get back the money failed they decided to abduct the victims to get back the money.
While they were forced the duo in a car,passers-by recorded the video and alerted the police.
The police who were foot patrolling nearby rushed to the spot and gathered technical evidence from in and around while forming the special teams assigning them different tasks.
As many as 35 police officials were deployed for the job who swung into action and cracked the case.Mr. Baba, who supervised the entire operation appreciated the police team for cracking the case in record time.
The accused,who are from Ananthpura have been taken into custody for further investigations .
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,B Dayananda, has appreciated Addl CP East,Raman Gupta,DCP Southeast,CK Baba,ACP,Lakshminarayan,PIs,as,Ravi PB,Rajesh LY and other officers who were part of rescue operation with their timely action after receiving a reliable inputs from a responsible citizen two techies were rescued safely and a tireless efforts by 35 members police team has helped in cracking the case a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
