anic gripped among the Kammanahalli residents following a rumour that a church had been vandalized in the early hours .
However acting swift the police pinned down 29 year old man identified as Tom Mathew,who carried the attack due to mental disturbance was also found to be in an inebriated condition at the time of his arrest.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday a man carrying a hammer broke open the door of St.Pious church on Kammanahalli road.
Further he entered the church with force using the same hammer and ransacked the premises passers by noticed the incident and alerted the control room.
The Hoysala police rushed to the spot and secured the accused identified as Tom Mathew ,29.
The Banaswadi police traced his residence for confirmation to ascertain his background and was subjected him to medical examination for further procedure.
